This was a good week for Nosajects in that I learned a lot about blogging in general. I see that we have a few new subscribers and increased our hit count.
On Monday we took a look at a really cool project out in my home state of Arizona The Grand Canyon Skywalk. I really would like to go back and take a stroll on that thing. It really looks amazing!
We discussed getting creative with anything you do. The technique referenced was taken from one of my favorite composers, Karlheinz Stockhausen. In his liner notes for his work Hymnen, providing a new way of thinking.
In the Top Six Things Project Managers Do I outlined not ten, but six things PM’s should really do to be effective. I choose six because ten became too long of a post. In the coming weeks I will be adding to the list and there are many other things that PMs do.
I took a couple of days off from posting to start reaching out to the virtual community by posting a response to a couple of different blogs I read. The first was a discussion on Aliventures.com about Struggling with Self Improvement
I also responded to a post entitled How Technology Affects Project Management on Andrew Filev’s Project Management 2.0.
Then on Friday, I posted Fanfare for a Common Plan: A checklist for maintaining a good project plan. Discussing how project team members have to march in the same direction and how following my checklist for plan management will keep the project moving with everyone following along.
I am looking forward to next week and the articles I plan on posting. I will be focusing this week on some formulas for Earned Value and then I will be shifting over to the psychology of communications.
Nosajects.com will continue to post, not every day (it is getting to be too much). But, I will be posting on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
